I'm moving toward balanced 120v power delivery on my system using a center tapped isolation transformer so to achieve my 120v I will have two 60v legs (no neutral).
Wanted to know if 1. has anyone else done this on their XMC-1 and 2. Does anyone know if there is any concerns with the XMC-1 with this power delivery.
Most likely there will not be any issues because of the power supply within will handle the voltage and if there is any dropout on a leg the unit will fail to produce the secondary voltage and will simply turn off. I will be feeding the system with 2pole breakers for safety reasons.

It works for the record.
Still in testing phases but I've had everything fired up individually on a 60/60 split phase 120v balanced power delivery without issues.

As long as your device has a main isolation transformer there will not be a problem. Signal common and chassis ground are not tied together. Then again I'm not sure you gain anything because the secondaries of the equipment transformer wouldn't know the difference. I don't think this would be advisable on a SWPS power supply such as the new gen 3 amps. The only thing I can see is that the primary voltage with respect to chassis ground is cut in half for what ever that buys you.

I've been running my whole system on custom made center tapped isolation Toroidal since 2000. Couldn't be happier with its performance- eliminates electrical noise & stops those Xms brownouts.
