hey guys, me once again.
I picked up a xpa-3 gen 2 the other day and am now looking for a receiver with pre-outs that I can hook the amp up to. Speakers are ML 60xt's. Crutchfield has AVR X4300H's for 800 bucks. I know the speakers are 4-ohm. Looking for some wisdom. I would still like to have Bluetooth and HDMI terminations for the home theatre setup. Any suggestions on quality receivers with pre-outs.
Thanks in advance.

It appeasers to have all the bells and whistles you are asking for and the proper pre-outs for the xpa-3 amp.

All Denon receivers from the 3xxx and up have preamp out jacks. The 4300 is very popular on AVS and gets recommended a lot. You can save a few bucks by going with a refurbished receiver if you don't mind pre-owned gear. I don't mind. I have a Yamaha RX-V773 that is still used daily in the bedroom two channel. Been there for 2-3 years now - can't recall for sure. Denon is well made - Yamaha is IMO built better. Of all the Yamaha gear I've owned over the years all of them worked without a problem. I sold a Yamaha AVR to one of my nephews 5 years ago. He's still 'thrashing' it 5 years later.

A receiver with pre-outs can obviously do the trick but if you have external amps why not just a dedicated pre/pro like mentioned above or a used UMC-200, both would need the BTM-1, check out Audiogon and US Audio Mart as well for used receivers or processors. Chad

If you don't need 4K, grab a used UMC-200. I like mine so much I've not felt the need to get an XMC-1.
Some of the UMC-200's, including mine, had to go back for service (I think for an updated power supply) so that is one concern.
