Can I use the 8100 as a preamp for an XPA2? Just curious or is this a waste of the 8100's amp section. Also, would I be better off selling the 8100 and going with the XPA2 and a different preamp section, ie. XSP-1.

I use my Fusion as a preamp. I used the preouts and connect to two XPR 100 mono blocks. Extremely pleased Attachments:

It should work fine, but if you have no interest in multi-channel sound I’d eventual go with a stereo preamp or DAC. Maybe wait for the DC-2 and give that a shot.
