I packed all the Audio, Video and PC cords I want to keep and I can not lift the large plastic bin that they are in. This is not normal. Just a count off the top of the head would be a hundred or more. I threw away about 60 or 70 lbs easy. Will I ever use all these cables I am collected and keeping ? Absolutely ! Most of them are the X Series Emo cables and they have been awesome. You might want to buy yourself some and try them yourself.

I have an XPA-2 box completely full of power, toslink, coax, XLR, subwoofer, analog and HDMI cables, as well as speaker-wire.

Ok, I got a bunch of music instrument and recording gear patch cords of every type and length. I got all the Mic cables I need to record an album. I guess you could say cables have been a passion with me since I was a kid. I know cables. I know as long as they are built properly for the job needed then it is a waste of money to buy anything that cost more, but does not do anything more.

I tend to purge stuff twice a year and take cables to the e-recycling place.
A few years ago, I made the mistake of asking neighbors if they had anything and now I have become the semi-annual e-recycle guy.

Not everybody needs cables now. Pretty soon you will have a brain wave implant and receive all signals all the time from everything. Just change the channel.

If you give an audiophile enough cable he'll hang himself.

Four milk crates of crap: Computer cables A/V cables Power cords, strips and wall warts Computer parts
I do a purge whenever I can't cram more crap into the crates.

If you give an audiophile enough cable he'll hang himself. Only after arguing incessantly if there's a difference in hanging himself with his back to you or facing you... and insisting on double blind tests.

For all AV cables, maybe three plastic boxes (80ish liter boxes). They're actually in more than three boxes but those also contain other stuff. I'll have to clean out the basement if I want to finish it for my man cave so there's some incentive to get rid of some AV supplies.

I could probably tow people out this winter with all the cabling and wiring I have.

I have 2 large boxes full of cables. Plus a large 50 gallon black trash bag full and another box (actually a U.S> Mail container box) full of cables. Can I find a cable when I need one? Absolutely..... NOT!

Must be something wrong with me! LOL I do have multiple boxes of cables, each designated by type and grade of cable. I have no problem finding the cable I need.

Quite a few but it helps that I keep them very organized. Behind the equipment room in the theater I keep racks that I hang them gently over so they don't get kinked or twisted. All organized by type of wire and then length so I can pull any out when needed.
Still, way more than necessary. Just haven't had time to list any for sale. Also nice to have extras for when I change equipment out or add speakers like Atmos. Scott

Will I ever use all these cables I am collected and keeping ? Absolutely! Not I..... My boxes of unused cables chronicle the tech. Advancement from non HDMI switching and old format audio (same issue.) Never going back and soon the space will mean more Than the boxes....that’s where the garbage man takes over Bill

I have 6.23 x 10 to the 23 power, but I don't know what that means or if they are all in this universe.
