Hi All,
Just got a BTM-1 for my TA-100 and it works... just OK. Not great, but OK. Audio quality is terrific but it's the integration with other Bluetooth devices that's lacking. A few examples:
1. My iPhone can see it and connect but it's not treated like a speaker. That is, the iPhone won't automatically reconnect when the amp/BTM is turned on. I've got to go back into the iPhone settings and manually reconnect each time. Auto-connect works fine with other Bluetooth speakers.
2. Laptop Bluetooth can connect but it's not even considered a speaker. That is, I cannot get it to play at all via the Mac.
3. The Echo Dot fails to connect. I can see the Emotive BT device in the Echo/Alexa app but it always fails to connect. Again, other Bluetooth speakers will connect and work just fine.
Emotiva -- are you aware of these deficiencies? What is being done to correct these shortcomings? When can we expect a fix and what can be done to upgrade my existing BTM device?

+1 on the bump. I'm brand new to Emotiva. Just bought the MC-700 and the A500, and the BTM-1. I'm having horrific results with the BTM-1, though only when I play music from external speakers--the issues are not present when I use my headphones. The audio crackles and stutters a bit, and the volume output also varies a bit. I thought it might have been bad wiring as I just bought new 12 gauge wire and added banana plugs, so I unscrewed the plugs, cut the wire and ran bare wire to the amp and speakers (what a pain!),
Thinking maybe it was my speakers (which are also a new purchase), I changed the source and played movies and CDs from my blurry player--everything was flawless, so it has to be the Bluetooth module I would imagine.

I gave up with impatience and decided to add a Sonos Connect. It's overkill, but it works great and adds my Polks to the rest of my ecosystem that is pretty much all Sonos as it is. Debating on returning the BTM-1.

Hey Emotiva ... some pretty shady work going on! I submitted an honest review for the BTM on your site and it has yet to be posted! This was months ago and since then a bunch of, what appear to be, bogus reviews have popped up, all giving the BTM 5 stars. Wrote another review a few weeks after the first (since the first never showed up) and still nothing up on the page. Anyone else submit a review for a product and it not show up?? Any comments by an Emotiva employee? Still hoping for an update on the BTM since it's still sub-par for a bluetooth device.

Hey any one who has a Emotiva BTM 1 Bluetooth module, can you please plug it into your computer and let us know the chipset of the device. Maybe we can find a generic Bluetooth receiver which works with emotiva products .

Well this one certainly seems like rug sweeping to me. If the OP just had a defective unit someone from Emo would have joined this conversation. Keith was tagged so we can be fairly certain he read this.
And then the review thing never showing up. Really makes you wonder there. Well, maybe not so much as there just always seems to be a little patch of fog over Emotiva's practices. I wonder just how many places do just that, only report reviews they like and want to see posted. Shady for sure.
