Since the MC700 lacks onscreen display for 4K, wondering if Emotiva could add the option to set a default volume level at startup? I assume this would be easy to add to the firmware. thoughts?
There is nothing like getting blasted with high volume when I am not expecting it!

If I am using the standard remote I just flick the volume control during boot up and it sets to zero. If I am using a programmed remote I just program in a volume flick/flicks in the start up menu. One flick sets the volume to zero or, for example, 21 up volume flicks sets the volume to 10. Program it once and it's done. The simplest method is to set the start volume before turning off, but the above is good for when I forget or someone else does the power off.

I third that. Lousy Yamaha AVR I replaced with the EMO did just that.

Huh, my old DMC-1 has separate default startup volumes for the Main Zone and Zone2. It is very useful. I'm surprised that wasn't carried over as a feature.
