Speaker binding post outputs to the KEF's. Output RCA's to the BasX S10 inputs. Set the BasX S10 cross over to 80hz. Set the BasX S10 volume pretty low and then adjust up to taste.
Cheers Gary

The Basx A-100 amps RCA outs do not adjust with the volume knob, you would be better off with the TA-100 integrated amp instead of the A-100 amp for this setup.

Chad but i can use the above setup, i.e. with a100 amp? only cant control sub volume on amp but only on sub? Can micca origen+ vol knob be used to control sub vol? I want a100 amp for my fostex trp50 mkiii

Also help me decide among these, s8 sub or s10 sub for rome size 13x13. I m not a bass head, only going for sub to protect my q100s driver from overworking, also will be upgrading from HIVI swan m10(42hz-20hz @ 31w), so mostly it will be huge upgrade for me. i use bass and total volume on swan m10 atmost 60%, Never gone above that.
And can i use micca origen + as DAC, it has pre outs. Where will i connect that output on a100 amp?
Sorry i am new to audiophile so i am gonng to ask alot of questions.

Cheers Gary So inshort i can use this setup? NO... This will not work with the A100. The output is a full volume passthrough. It will not change as you adjust the volume on the amp. You need a sub that will allow the use of regular speaker wire with the A100.

Why would you want to adjust volume on the amp and volume on the sub individually ? for the little bit extra of cost the TA-100 with built in DAC and RCA outs for sub seems to me the better option, adjusting separate volumes will get old fast. Plus the TA-100 has analog inputs if you are wanting to use a different DAC then the one in the TA-100.
If your new to the world of audio keeping it simple is much better, having owned the TA-100 it is an excellent integrated amp, sold it as it was just too big to fit on my computer desk and my buddy wanted it.

TA100 doesn't fits in my budget? WAF is quiet lean. If i try to force anymore everything will be cancelled out. And like i said, a100 also acts as a headphone amp for my fostex t50rp mkiii

Neither Amp will work with the a100. Sorry. You need a different amp or different sub. Will BIC F12 work? Yes the BIC F12 will work. It has speaker inputs and outputs. You will run speaker wire from the A-100 to the speaker inputs on the BIC. Then Speaker wire from the output on the BIC to your speakers.

You mention you want to keep your Q100 drivers from overworking. I just wanted to point out nothing in the setup applies a high-pass filter to the speakers so they will be playing full range regardless. Monoprice sells a 10" studio subwoofer that offers variable high-passed outputs. Otherwise I'd try a subwoofer with speaker level inputs to keep your setup less annoying to use.

Cant this be done same on emotiva sub? There is in(LFE) and out? isnt LFE used as high pass filter or something? Sorry but need to figure this out.

LFE is irrelevant to your situation. That stands for Low Frequency Effects. Normally when using an AVR and watching a movie the movie will have an audio channel that will absolutely only send signal to the subwoofer regardless of crossover settings. You can set things to LFE+Main but we're getting in the weeds here.

You will need a sub that has highlevel inputs and outputs so the A100 will pass the signal to the sub and then you will hook your speakers to the output on the sub. Your sub volume has to change with the main speakers so everything stays balanced. This is why the A100 is not ideal becasue the rca outputs are not connected to the volume control of the amp so when you play music the sub will just play at one level and not stay in sync with the main speakers. As mentioned , the A100 has no bass management built in so your main speakers will play full range which whythe monoprice sub was recommended since it can provide a high pass crossover for the main and pass the lower frequencies on to the sub.

Does Bic F12 qualify for this? or i will have to look for studio subs, including monoprice studio sub?
