I'm considering buying a PT-100 for 2 channel audio.
However, I am very concerned the DAC has the same problems with S/PDIF PCM sync delay as the UMC-200 and MC-700. I've owned both of those preamps and the DAC was completely unusable due to it chopping off the first few seconds of audio between tracks due to sync loss. For a long time folks blamed this sync lock delay on my Logitech Squeezebox. However, the behavior was ultimately confirmed to occur even with Emotiva's own CD transport. I've never been able to use the digital inputs on any Emotiva preamp and I don't really want to waste my time/money if the problem still exists with the PT-100.
So, do the digital inputs finally work correctly with PCM sync on the PT-100?
Thanks!

I am going to guess no. I had a XDA-1 (their first 2Ch DAC) and used it with a Squeezebox Touch. Didn't have synch issues you are talking about.
Those types of issues seem to be HT processor issues not 2 ch DAC issues.
Hopefully someone else can confirm.

I have a UMC-200 and an ERC-3 I have no synch delays. I also have a brand new Sony X800 4K blue ray player that I play SACD's on and I have experienced no synch delays after 3 weeks of heavy use. Before that I had a Panasonic BD player and no synch delays there either. I also have my Apple TV4K plugged into the UMC-200 and playing music via iTunes there is no synch delay. Before that I had in sequence an Apple TV and an Apple TV4 and experienced no synch delays there either. At various times the above have been connected via co ax digital, toslink and HDMI and I have experienced no difference between them for playing stereo or multi channel music.
Merry Xmas Gary

That just maybe I have implemented the source connections in a way that avoids the issue without even knowing about it. I have installed/helped instal several UMC-200's and none of them have any synch issues either, so I doubt that it's pure luck. Let's start of with what is different in your connections to mine. ERC-3 connected to UMC-200 via toslink Sony X800 connected to UMC-200 via HDMI Oppo 103 and 203 connected to UMC-200 via toslink, HDMI and analogue RCA. Apple TV4 connected to UMC-200 via toslink Apple TV4K connected to UMC-200 via HDMI Sony 4K HDR TV connected to UMC-200 via HDMI utilising ARC I play DVD's, BD's, BD4K's and CD's as well as streamed content via the ATV's Merry Xmas Gary

Regardless, I asked about a different product altogether and did not come here to debate a suite of products I have owned and already comfirmed do not work for my needs.

An MC-700 is on the list of possible solutions to my need for 4K video switching, hence my interest in this thread. Having not experienced it with the UMC-200's I was concerned that maybe the MC-700 has an issue that I currently don't experience. Hence my attempts to find out what, when and why. I also noted the lack of response to your question and was hoping a bump or 2 might get the dialogue started. Apologies if you think otherwise. Merry Xmas to all Gary

I have lip sync issues with the new DTV Genie gen2 (main unit pushing minis) with the UMC200 & Integra DTR50.4, not always, but more than with previous Genie DVR. The UMC200 has never given us any issues, except that dreaded delay when rewind/play of any DTV dvr. I have programmed the units for digital audio in, ignoring HDMI audio, but no difference. Samsung Bluray works ok. My question- how is the XMC1 doing with lip sync, any issues?
