Streaming will not get you full decoding of MQA but it will be very good. Some say that the hardware unfold isn’t worth much, they don’t really believe in the whole idea anyway. If im a fool, well,,,,,Im sure it wouldn’t be the first time. But I do like it very much. The full unfolding is done through PC or Mac web site not the app. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 Yes, I'm running it through a Mac. To oppo 105 USB dac. Want to here the final unfold, to use their terminology. The Oppo is not a hardware renderer as far as I know. Please point me to this documentation if it exists. As an app in the 205 it will do the first unfolding but not the last. Even so, you are feeding the 205 as an Analog input I hope.

Keeping my eyes out on new DAC's like teac, NAD/bluesound , and Pro-Ject as well.

I was being hopeful though. I have been enjoying the Explorer2 but Im curiose about other MQA renderers.

I would have an explorer 2 but I don't like headphones and am just waiting for a different more full sized product. Happy holidays!

I don’t care for cans either, it came with an adapter to plug into my preamp, so I have it going to my Tubed McIntosh C220 tp the VTA ST-120 Stereo amp. Love the sound.

I just listened finally. Great news on the V3 HDMI board. No mention of the Airmotiv S12 ship date... Guess I need to call for an update.
