Happy New Year!
I have been watching movies via HBO GO and notice most of the movies are in dolby digital plus 5.1 but I only get PCM two channels...
I wonder how new is dolby digital plus and I suppose there is no more support for UMC-1 codecs, right?
Thanks.

Dolby digital plus turned up with hddvd back in 2006 copperband and its definitely listed in a few umc1 reviews. dolby digital can be derived from dd+ . It sounds like you have a lpcm mixdown operating with only 2ch output Make sure its getting a 5.1 bitstream to decode .

I use Roku premier to watch. I did pick auto or Dolby digital under Roku settings but it still won't work......when I looked up UMC-1 manuals it does not mention dolby digital plus?
when I use Roku 2 in my other room to watch(HBO Go) my pioneer receiver receives bitstream 5.1 and decodes dolby digital plus correctly.
