I had to FF to the end after 30 seconds in and nothing of value going on. Egads that was boring, however a Bose Heathkit is a combo I never would have foresaw.

Interesting, even their commercial had the bass and treble chopped pretty bad on the audio.

So yes $149 is a little high for a small Bluetooth single speaker designed for kids. But what they get is seeing all the marketing that Bose gets with the extra cost. Funny thing about the video is the dad in the picture is at a computer with non Bose speaker --I think.
Bose is the WD40 of speakers--

Funny thing about the video is the dad in the picture is at a computer with non Bose speaker --I think. Bose is the WD40 of speakers-- I noticed that too. Also this little kid has her own iphone 6 or higher. Now this is probably more common than I think, but it's still crazy to me. I think the kit is a great idea for kids. But I wish it was a bit more in depth. You want power you just plug it in. That's not how a passive speaker works. What I see is plug it in, put some plastic staples on and you're good to go + color. Too simplistic. The useful bit is the whole change the frequency bit and see the speaker vibrate. It would be nice if they could find the voice coil. Then attach a foam surround and stuff. Then hook them up by colored + - speaker wires. Then put them in the chassis. And play. Bonus points for including a port that can be plugged or not.

I haven’t looked at this yet. I just got a 2017.5 (that’s what they call it) Murano platinum edition with the top of the line Bose sound system with 2 subs. One sits on the spare tire.
The sound in my 2002 Durango is better.

I'm not surprised at all about the phone. My son is 13 and all of his friends have some type of upper end smartphone.

I got a single cube speaker for camping to hook up to my phone. Sounds really good for what it is. I think I paid 6 bucks.

Yup, those PE speakers do look much better BUT like it or not this is Bose's next speaker to sell a million or more units.
