I`ve heard the RTi A5 and well they were alright, I prefer my Chane A5rx-c towers and previous Monitor Audio RX6 towers as well.
Do you have an opportunity to get a deal ?

They're a decent entry level. I had them, along with paradigm atom monitors, I'd put them in the same class. Nice thing with these is that they're designed to hang off a wall, the back port has a cone which pushes the air to the side of the speaker. That can be very useful in certain situations. Fit and finish is excellent, especially considering price. They have a very elegant tear drop shape, good WAF! The tweeter is nice, not too hot, it's silk dome. They can handle a fair amount of power too, if I remember correctly. I would definitely be happy using them if push came to shove and my budget was in a certain range. They pair well with their big floor stander brothers <-- those are party speakers Oh, and they're pretty big in real life, I wasn't expecting that based on the pictures but they get pretty large.

I used some a1’s for surrounds quite a few years ago. They’re really nice looking speakers, I loved the curved ash finish on them. As stated above the a3 is quite a big bookshelf speaker. I looked at getting another pair of the a1 a little while back for a desktop pc system I was putting together but found a great deal on some xrm 4.1’s instead, which I’m very impressed with btw. Anyway, the polks are pretty nice speakers for the money. I think I might go for some of the “new” b1 monitors from emotiva though. Jmo.
