Been looking at the new Klipsch RF 7 III speakers soon to be released which looks to be priced at $3598 USD (Pair), and the new RC 64 III $1499 USD..
After a little looking around found that out here in Aus the price will be around $8490 AUD for the RF 7 III(Pair) and new RC 64 III $3290 AUD..
Bloody hell it would still be cheaper to buy in states and ship out here than but buy them here, why such a mark up ? Is it because its the way it is , or whatever the market will bear out here or am I looking at this wrong...

That's what they call capitalism. Capitalizing on those that need instant gratification!

Totally agree. I was lucky to be living in the US for a few years with work and returned back to Australia last year, but managed to purchase and include in my household effects lots of Emotiva goodness. Prices here for good gear are eye watering. That said, local manufacturer Richter have a good sale on at the moment where you can get the next model up in the range if you purchase for the same price..a pair of Wizard V for $1499 AUD is a pretty good deal.

If you are looking at speakers I’d strongly suggest having a chat to Edward at AdelaideSpeakers.com.au. Locally engineered, locally made, direct from the manufacturer, no distributor mark up, no retailer mark up, no import duty and no cost of freighting big boxes of air half way around the world.
Cheers Gary

Cheers Gary Hi Mate, I hear what your saying , but I really want those RF 7 III's real bad, will just save for now, the RF 7 II's will likely be put on sale when the III's are released so I may even get another pair of those, at least until the price has come down to an achievable number over time, we'll see.... Damn this affliction, he he he Metaldude
