I want to ask you technical questions about the Emotiva MС-700. Respond please.

Questions:

1. Decodes whether the Emotive MC-700 the digital streams of the multichannel DSD and 2 channel DSD , incoming on the HDMI inputs of the processor , into an analog signals (7.1 analog outputs)?

2. Is the multichannel DSD format a popular surround sound format?

dsd is not a popular surround format

DSD is NOT considered to be a popular format.
It is more like "an obscure format with a small but dedicated following".
(DSD was the original format used on SACD discs, although it is now also used for download music files.)

Note that our XMC-1 processor can accept and play multi-channel DSD via HDMI.

Also note that most player software, and devices that play DSD files, have the option to convert DSD and output it as PCM.... which most devices, including the MC-700, will play.
