Everything are fine until last week. Please help!
Watching movies or concerts with LFE, the subwoofer won't turn on automatically(normally it does). I put my ear to the subwoofer and confirmed there is no sound at all.
I have the USP-1/UMC-1 combo.
I tried the analog 5.1 from my SACD player which is connected to UMC-1 (again with LFE) same result, subwoofer won't turn on and no sound.
Finally I listened to a CD using USP-1 and the subwoofer turns on automatically and there was sound!
So it seems the problem is the UMC-1...
Any other steps or things I can test to conclude the problem is with UMC-1?
I did unplug UMC-1 but the problem stays.
Thanks.

What is the level set to for sub on the UMC-1? I have seen subs that won't automatically turn on if the signal is too low.

My suggestion would be to back up your settings if you can and do a factory reset, perhaps the firmware was corrupted somehow. Worth a shot.

I say level very generically as there are several settings that can contribute to the overall output level of the sub channel. The goal is to find the output that trigger the sub on. If it was working previously then it would seem that issue may be else ware in the system including the UMC-1 as you have suspected.

I forgot "how to do a factory reset" other than unplug the power which I already tried without success.
