While using DIRAC the maximum volume achievable with the XMC-1 is much lower than without DIRAC. Yesterday I had the problem for the first time that it just wasn´t loud enough for my taste so I had to deactivate DIRAC for the movie.
The behaviour I have is that at about -10dB you can turn the volume up but it just won´t get any louder.
Since I use DIY fully active speakers for C, FL and FR I can see that there should still be some headroom left (input channels of my DSPs only showing 1 of 2 green LEDs which is quite far from clipping).
Is there any way to work around this or change this in the XMC-1? I even also set all speaker levels to the max. and also set all HDMI inputs to +10dB already.

This can happen if Dirac has to boost certain frequency ranges by a large amount. Can you post screen prints of your Dirac results before correction along with the target curve?

Are you using Dirac Full or the basic version? When setting up the speaker levels initially did you make sure all the levels were similar, and in the "green" segment of the level meters?

Dirac has always done that to me as well.

Treat your room and get everything sounding the best it possibly can before running Dirac. As stated Dirac will do whatever it can to correct your room and if its excessive it will limit overall max volume. Treat first reflections ,have plenty of diffusion and leather couch's can cause issues.

Also, don't forget to turn off AGC in the mic properties.
