Emotiva sent my amp on the 1st of February in the afternoon and by the wee hours of Feb 2nd the amp was in Calgary Alberta having gone through a distro center in KY. I dont know how far that is in miles but i can tell you its much further than the 200 miles from Calgary to Edmonton and its taken 3 days to go that far. Canada really dont know diddly about shipping or logistics , quite sad really.

You're right, "Canada" doesn't know anything about shipping, because it's a country; blame the shipper. But to be honest, I've seen so many horror shows south of the border (busted packages beyond belief) etc., so pick your poison Shipping companies are the same everywhere. Edit: by the way, your package is probably held up in customs; they probably don't work on the weekend either. Just relax, you'll get it

Not in any hurry, just an observation and it cleared customs same day, which is remarkable. I live in a remote area so i am never in a hurry everything takes forever to get up here.

I have had stuff from Amazon pop up as if its in Richmond BC when it clearly left Ontario all in the same day. Some kind of electronic weirdness with their shipping system.

Socketman, I understand, seeing that you are in Whitehorse. I used to drive through there on the way to Dawson and Prudhoe Bay, AK, by way of Chicken, AK. Then switched from the ALCAN to the Cassiar Hwy and 4 for most trips; this was from central PA in the 1979-82 period, and 5,500 miles could get a bit boring. Good to hear that Emo gets up that far. Stay cool, which should be easy.

Its a nice drive the first time you come up here but more than once is 2 times too many. I fly out even though i dislike flying, well not flying so much as crashing When i leave here it will be the last time i drive that hwy. I cant imagine what it was like back in 1980 but its much improved these days. They flatened it out pretty good at steamboat.

It's been a real roller coaster this year. It snows like crazy and then melts then gets stupid cold again. We have been right around -33c this past week but its starting to warm up a bit, only -28 now. I prefer right around -20 and holding this up and down between -6 one day and -33 is confusing.

Been the same way here all winter in Manitoba, I mean I like the -5 to +5 temps but the swings to -35 suck
