I received a replacement optical loader unit from AllTronics but it was defective. Missing parts and could not insert a disc inside.
When i contacted them to get a working replacement, they say that part is no longer in stock and they will issue a refund. I am going to
check a few things on my original loader, maybe try cleaning the lens.

I cleaned lens on original optical loaded assy and re-installed, but would not work. Would read CD and play for about a minute, then
just stop and you cant advance the tracks. I realize now, the remote control is ok.
But, I heard back from AllTronics this morning and they found ONE last CD Optical Assy part and sent me pics. It looks complete(no missing screws)
and serviceable. They will send that one. Alltronics said they cant get anymore from supplier. I am really hoping to get my ERC-2 working again.

The new optical cd loader assy. from Alltronics did not work in the ERC-2. It does have a different part number
from the original though, S036CK8SA. part# S036CK8HX on the drive in the ERC-2. Would not read the disc and ejects it, though it might work with the ERC-1.
Alltronics said they had no more in stock.
I re-installed the original cd optical drive and it will read and play discs for a while until it wont. Seems to
be intermittent, you would think if the laser was bad would not play at all. I did gently clean the laser lens.
I may take it to a local repair tech to look at.
