Holy Moses! I have the bug. I’m converting my carport into a dedicated listening room. I have Magnepan 1.7’s, Emotiva....XSP1, ERC3 and a DR1. The 2nd DR1 is being built and is on it’s 11th day of in queue until “birth”, as per the email. Yes I am counting the days. 20’x20’x9’. A brick knee wall with a partition of same brick going to ceiling in the middle of that span along one wall. Going clockwise from there is the carport entrance and the next 2 walls have asbestos siding shingles on them. After studding up everything that is open and closing off the exterior properly, tearing off the asbestos and replacing with sheet rock, what do I do then? I will have carpet on the floor but is it best to put absorption on all surfaces,(2side walls, back rear wall and ceiling; excluding wall behind speakers). I am going to be able to do this room the right way, whatever you guys say that is because I do not know, so I appreciate you sharing your candid experience and knowledge on this subject. Thank you for your consideration and reply.

Let me just say.... you need a lot more than you think. So think about how much you need, like a pretty good amount, then double or triple that number. However even ONE big one from ats acoustics makes a difference. So it's not a no lose porposition just to put a few.
