well the guy who wired up my home theater didn’t leave enough slack in the speaker wire connection to the xpa 100 binding posts. When I pulled out the amp to change connections to the pre, one of the banana plugs snapped, and I think part of the outer seathe/shell of the plug is still in the binding post. Any thoughts on how to get it out, the seathe is level with the edge of the binding post socket so I’m going to need something tiny to do the trick.

Err it’s an xpa 200 if that matters Nope, doesn’t matter. First id try to see if itll just fall out. Gravity can be your friend. If its stuck Id then try a toothpick. if they fail it may be a little more serious. 😲 Tweesers? Anything sticking out?

The thread from 2016 may have been started by me. I think I got mine out by unscrewing the binding post and then using a small screwdriver in the hole in the binding pin and turning the screwdriver and lifting the stuck piece upwards until the top cleared the top and then using pliers to pull it out.
This was a while ago so I can't remember all the details.

small wood screw into the hollow of the banana plug pin if you havent got it out already. My kid got a rca broken off and i pulled the top and pushed it out from the inside.

I finally had to buy a set of small metal probes from Lowe’s—that worked. The remnants of the banana plug casing was all squished down and need to be pried.

Good to hear your back up and running. Maybe a better quality banana plug is in order. I tripped over one of my cables and it pulled the speaker onto the floor and it didnt break the plug but it broke the plastic nut on the speaker connector.
