I would suspect the PT-100 would be a huge step forward in a few areas, it will be quieter, it will have improved micro dynamics, it will have improved macro dynamics, more detail, more depth, and just more retrieval of what is available from the source. The problem is this is going to tell you every problem you have further upstream. The HK is a nice piece but has to have some aging parts and doesn't sound the way it did when it left the factory back in the day. You want to add some colour? your EQ is for that. The Bose is a Beast but not the most neutral amplifier around  |

I finally pull the trigger last week-end on a Pt-100....I will let you know my thoughts about it in the weeks to come as I need some time to test it good and try different setting. First thing that I noticed right away compare to the old 330A is that the pt-100 let you clearly know if the audio source is good or not...Very sensible to this. If sound input is not so good than it sounds like crap...obviously. If its good it good. The old 330A did not show that much of a difference on that point compare to the Pt-100. I think that i will need to redo most of my mp3 collection in a higher quality setting. Other than that Phono part is great and Cd input too. Very cear sound.

so far I like it better than expected. I mean to say not sorry I sold my yamaha cx-830 ....my gripe is the remote sucks and I still have yet to figure out the dang tuner on it. i have never bought something with a feature that was almost useless before . good thing I dont listen to radio but at same time it would have been okay if they didnt even include it and charged less or spent the money on better remote..
