Ok Here's a question. I have a powered sub. It has the lfe and speaker in and out. Rite now I'm using the speaker in and to the full range speakers. Not using the crossover curcit. Now can I go from amp to speaker then to sub. Instead of how it's hooked now. Amp to sub and spkrs. Which would be better? Just courious.Has anyone tried this?

To clarify, I am using a two channel amp now. The 5.1 is not in use at this time. I tried the lfe on it and it was great for movies but not so much for tunes.

most of the newer preamps and receivers today run a line out for running a subwoofer today. Which receiver or preamp and sub do you have ?

I would suggest using an RCA cable like this, one side to the amp and the other to the sub input (LFE) and then use the sub amp controls to set the crossover frequency Mark

Na. Tried that. Nope not the answer I was looking for. Basicly most of these psw have the same connection. That's pretty much how most people connect,em. My thought was ( with enough wires) to connect amp to speaker then to sub. L anR taken into consideration. I can connect rite at back of amp , both, but still not quite rite. So... I will try this myself... I have all connections to accommodate any cofiguration. I'll let ya,LL Kno what I hear if anything. Tomorrow.

Ok guys!! I didn't notice any improvement. Still sounded good. I was trying for a more accurate low-end. Without overdriveing the subamp. Hard to explain, that low all-around bass or thunder. It works good now, I'm thinking maybe placement.Next room?!

Ok great! I thought about that also, this system is too big for this room. Sub is 30" from corner, 3 sides. Rear port. Speaker s r 13 to 17' apart. Figured I would put sub on opposite wall from speakers. That,LL give the sub it's own room to ,breath. But I have another idea, buy me another of these a 100. Run each it's own channel ,left amp left mono input, fight side same thing, run one on the loop outfor input. That might woork, No !?
