Howdy! So, this PT-100 is my first bit of Emotiva gear and I really like it. It's my first pre-amp; I've always had integrated amps and receivers before this. Anyway, when I first hooked up the pre-amp and a Carver M-500 power amp ( I was going to get the A-300, but I got a deal for the Carver that I couldn't pass up, and I plan on getting in line for the MK 2 upgrade on that amp in the fall.) the sound was thin and very low output from my sub. So, after talking to both the Emotiva tech and the VP at SVS, I was all set to try using both left and right inputs into the sub from the pre-amp rather than just the one to LFE.
So, right afterward I started up some Witcher 3, and it was when I pressed the "Mute" button on my Corsair K70 keyboard that whatever was glitching the USB source on the pre-amp fixed itself and now everything sounds great. I don't have a clue what happened but now I still plan on using both channels as both told me that it will give 6db more output; something I've needed since I shoehorned a massive PB-2000 sub into this tiny bedroom/gaming-music room.
