I just made some changes to my HT gear and now want to take some new room measurements with Dirac.
I have a couch on the back wall with a coffee table in front of it, but my favorite position to listen is sitting on the floor with my back against the couch and the coffee table in front of me (I know, weird, but that's how I'm most comfortable).
I want to set up a personal Dirac filter for when I'm listening to a concert Blu-ray by myself.
When taking the Dirac measurements, my sweet spot is going to be directly in front of the couch at the center about 30" off the floor (ear level).
My question is, do I move the other mic positions in relation to my sweet spot (the front positions forward and below my sweet spot and rear positions behind and above) or should I take them as normally shown on the Dirac diagram relative to the couch?
I think you would make all the other 8 measurements around that sweet spot placement
I suspect you're right.
I was hoping to get a definitive answer.
If you truly want a definitive answer, I'd reach out to Dirac directly. They have been very responsive to my questions. But, I do strongly suspect that what is most important is the mic positions relative to your sweet spot. With your sweet spot being different than most, I'd try what they recommend but just centered around where your head would be.
Do note - no matter what you do with mic positioning - your sweet spot may have create some odd results as your head is likely far below your LRC tweeters. If Dirac needs to adjust too much - it can lead to issues with it not sounding right or messing with levels in ways that don't work for you.

The first measurement should be placed as usual where your head is, the other ones should approximately create a cube around it (not too small in order to avoid eventual overcorrection) but if for example the lower ones at the back cannot be physically located where expected don't worry and move them forward as necessary. As always experimenting by comparing different mic locations might be useful.
