New to the lounge and the brand

Hi, newbie here, wanted to say hello and thank the moderators for access to the forum!

lifelong 2-channel guy, assembling my first HT. Patiently waiting
for XMC-1 v3 release (have pre-ordered through a dealer.

Im sure I will learn a lot here and hope to be a positive contributor. Won't take your time now, but will post my system specs in the future.

P.S. for those not inclined to wait...there is an XMC-1 gen2 freshly posted on Audiogon, also I found a dealer with an open box gen2(no v3 card) for sale.

Hello Oddeofile welcome to the forums here. Allot of topics and threads to check out. There is something for everyone. Glad you are here. I here you on the latest for the XMC-1, but that is only a small part of the XMC-1 abilities which you will experience soon. Long time listener of the XMC-1, you will find it a natural center of your theater and maybe some music play as it is very musical in its play. I am not really sure anyone needs anything else but that might be just me. Hope you have a great time here on the Emotiva Lounge.

It's interesting that your dealer took pre-orders for the Gen 3. Emotiva isn't even taking pre-orders for them. Where are you located and who is your dealer?

I'm from Buffalo NY (anyone else?)

Dealer that took the pre-order for the gen3 is Crown Audio in Florida, I have family near one of their locations.
They spoke to their Emotiva contact and was told release date was 4-6 weeks out, I realize it could be much longer, for a small deposit, I will get the first one Crown Audio gets

Edit* I'm hoping the release will get announce at AXPONA in April, I will be there and will ask the question if given the opportunity to speak with the Emotiva team.

You have a really good system. How do you like the Focals? I remember being quite impressed, although it was in a very suboptimal room (acoustically speaking).

Love the Electras, Have had many speakers over the years, to me...these are as good or better than all of them. Have only heard the CC 700 in the shop, bought it for the HT im setting up, but it sounds promising. Also looking for a sub (or too) leaning towards a Rythmic 12 but still not decided, a;so looking at a pair of Sumiko S.9's that I can get a deal on. Hoping I can get them loaned out to see how they pair with the Focal's

Just an FYI from personal experience, but dealers will always get products after Emotiva delivers products to their direct customers. Emotiva has separate allocations for direct customers and reseller and direct customers get the priority. Really unless you are getting a better deal going through the reseller, you are better going just buying direct from Emotiva.
