Doing some father's day shopping for dad. In years past, I'd bought him some speakers, and emotive monoblocks, and emotiva DAC. This year I wanted to get him an emotiva CD player, mainly just to match his other components. He's in his mid 70's and I doubt the quality difference would be appreciated over the sony or whatever he has now - but I wanted to just try and tie everything together... I was hoping to find something discounted on e-bay - maybe from someone selling an older generation, or from someone who's gone away from CD's altogether. Anyway - I found no deals - ironically, the emotiva CD players both versions - seem to be selling form a couple hundred more than what emotiva sells them for. Why on earth would that be?

They charge what the market will bare. I could have sold my XPA-2 on eBay for at least $100 more than I sold for here (after shipping and fees) but chose to sell here. Look at the Emoporium page to see if there's a CD player for sale. If not, PM me as I have a ERC-1 that I can let go for a reasonable price.
