Anyone try this yet? I picked up the ultra to replace my aging music streamer, and have extra video streaming capability. I can't get the MC700 to work on any input. It also gets into a weird mode where all other video inputs display a white or pink screen, and audio stops working on all inputs. Only a power cycle with the rear switch brings the MC700 back to normal. Chromecast works fine on two different TV's, and my old 1080-only receiver.

Sounds like no one else has a Chromecast Ultra...  I'm pretty fed up with the MC700 at this point. Doesn't work with my Sony UHD bluray player, doesn't work with the Chromecast Ultra. Anyone want to buy an MC700? I'll give you a good deal. Works great if you don't need 4k. |

I am using Chromecast Ultra and it works fine. Only issues I have seen so far is random disconnections sometimes, but I think its a Chromecast/android issue.
For me it has worked fine on both FW version 2.9.1 and 2.9.2.

I have mine plugged directly into input #1. No issues at all everything works great.
