Can I set the B1's into a bookshelf cube ? I can vary the height of the cell but depth is fixed around 12". Is the rear port a problem with this setup ? 5.1 HT with support from Hsu sub(s), 80 % movies/tv.

I had the same issue, but with a pair of Ascend CMT-340. Since you (like me) are using a sub, crossed probably at 80Hz, the B1 should behave virtually as a sealed speaker. I am not familiar with the B1, but 80Hz should be above the rear port tuning frequency.
Make sure you position the speakers as far out as you can, to minimize the effect of the sides of the "cube".
In cases like ours the speakers are "in" a shelf rather than "on" a shelf, so even small position changes can have an effect.

I'd put a pair of heavy cotton socks (rolled up into each other) into the rear port and see how that works.😉
