Tidal needs to drastically improve the album information.. Not sure what's the deal, maybe they have a lot to catch up on, I don't know.
Things like "release date" are never correct.. Unless they're talking about re-release dates for old classic albums.
Some albums have extensive information, others have practically nothing.
Just kinda ranting

Most likely the release date of a remastered version, not the original album. Depends which version they have the rights to.

I understand about rerelease and remastering dates, but would sure love to see a bit info as to when recording was done. Etc
Also, would be nice for albums to be listed in a chronological order

Your best option for great metadata would be to combine your Tidal subscription with the Roon music server software. Roon also allows you to be able to combine your Tidal library with any music you have stored locally and make unified playlists.

Wow.. Gonna look into that Bring your wallet! 😲 But I have heard many good things about Roon. 😁 That was my initial reaction when I first looked into it last year. My Oppo 203, which can be used as a Roon endpoint, arrived a week ago along with a 60 day free trial of Roon, After a week of use, I am 95% certain I will be subscribing when the trial ends. Interface, metadata is great, and using the analogue outs of the Oppo, sound quality is outstanding. I was a long time Zune/Xbox/Groove music subscriber and with that software, my streaming and FLAC libraries were combined. When Groove disappeared at the end of last year, I tried Spotify, which will read any MP3 files you have stored locally, but won't read FLAC, so it was useless. The only other reasonably priced option I know of is a Bluesound device like the Node 2, which includes a DAC for full unfolding of MQA, and is about the same price as a lifetime subscription to Roon. If other's are combining their streaming service and FLAC files, I would like to know what other option's are available.
