Has anybody watched this movie? How was it? I’ve heard the reviews but they aren’t always dependable. Thinking of purchasing the 3D version which means another Amazon.UK buy. The last Thor movie had to come from 🇬🇧 as it wasn’t offered in the States.
Any help will be appreciated.

I like the Marvel Comic Universe movies, but of course they're not for everyone. If you like the MCU movies so far, then this one is close to, if not, the top of the heap. (in my opinion of course!) Get it and enjoy!
I saw the 2D version at the movies, so can't comment on the quality or otherwise of the 3D version. I will be buying the BluRay as soon as available

It was good, just not nearly as good as the reviews or the box office total makes it out to be, IMHO. I think there are far better MCU movies (Civil War, first Avengers, first IM, etc.) but this is definitely a very good installment.

I just don’t think this was on the same level as the Iron Man, Capt America, Thor or even Ant Man movies. It was however necessary for BP’s backstory/origins history.. Personally I was a bit disappointed but necessary if you want want keep up with the MCU.

I’ll pick this up as I own the whole collection, however I just count get too excited when I saw the trailers for it. Winter Soldier and Civil War are my reference for great comic movies. I didn’t get the vibe this was in the same class

I didn’t get the vibe this was in the same class I received this one today from BestBuy, the steelbook version. While it wasn't even close to being one my favorite MCU movies, I got it for collection reasons.

I was entertained but kept thinking man the sound and picture at this theater suckkk! I bet we like this better at home! I would put it in the category of say Antman and Spider-Man Homecoming, not one of the better ones and his goofy sister seemed way out of place to me. Still it was good fun but vastly overhyped imo. Doesn’t even come close to the top 5 MCU movies for me. My daughter is out tracking the 4k down for me so hopefully I’ll like it better in the old HT.

I enjoyed it at the theatre and then watched with my son 2 days ago on 4k disc on my new oppo. had a great time. but.... I try not to compare to other marvel movies and just take the movie on it's own terms. tchaik............

Do what I do when I'm unsure - stream it in 4K for $15.

Wasnt a bad movie, but nothing even remotely close to the best of the MCU. Could pretty much be viewed as a standalone movie without the rest of the MCU, if that makes any difference to you.

Do what I do when I'm unsure - stream it in 4K for $15. When Im unsure about a movie I’ll rent from Red Box for $2.16 including tax and let my player upscale the Blueray to 4 K. All my Marvel movies are 3D, sometimes I have to wait for shipping from UK though.

While I see a difference in true 4K & 1080p source material on my 4K flat panel, I must say I'm still overall impressed with the scaling ability of my Samsung on 1080p movie sources.

I too went into seeing this movie with no pre-expectations at the local AMC IMAX theaters when it first came out, and now that I've seen it again twice at home on 4K UHD blu-ray, I've not changed my initial thoughts, though the quality of the 4K UHD was quite stunning.

Me as well, installing the 8 core evolution upgrade made a big impact on upscaling.

I liked Black Panther. Not the best, definitely not the worst either. It's a fun movie.
