When watching TV through my Genie HR44 DVR connected by HDMI to my XMC-1 I get a half-second or less audio drop out as the station changes. It happens just as the information identifying the new station and program goes off. Less frequently and intermittently, I get both an audio drop out and slight, small pixelation apart from channel changes. I do not get this when feeding the DVR directly to my TV, nor do I get it when using my Apple TV. I had Directv serviceman check the DVR and it was running perfectly with full satellite signal. Cannot find anything on the forum raising this issue. I have tried recycling both units to no avail. It seems to stop for a while then returns unpredictably. Is anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions?

I'm a heavy DirecTV user (HS17 --> Genie clients, including 4k clients), and have had no issues.

try changing your playback setting on the XMC from auto to dolby or dtsx. also in your DT box set the output to always be either stereo or dolby not auto.

Ok. DT box doesn't have auto setting just either Dolby on or off. I set it to off. Still has delay/audio dropout on channel change, which I can live with. Will see if intermittent dropout continues. Thanks.

i would still recommend to go into the XMC setting menu and set the dvr input to a preferred sound setting such as dolby or dtsx.

Sorry, I did that, but didn't mention it. Set it to Dolby Pro Logic. So far I have not had any more problem. Thanks again.
