Hello, I wanted to ask why I am having so many problems listening to sound from my XMC-1 to my Bose QC-25 head phones? I am running an extension from the XMC to the Headphones and I have to Mess with the connection until I get sound. Does it have to do anything with the dongle that has 2 rings and the bose has 3 rings? It seems that I have to find the right sweet spot to get sound but then if I move it becomes undone. The extender to the XMC is solid but it is the female connection to the bose is where the issue is. Please advise.

Yes if you have the 3 rings you must adapt to listen to any standard 3.5 or 6.3mm Headphone output. Because you have the control access to do more than just pass signal to the headphones. True on most mobile centric cabling that 3rd ring.

I see. Are you saying to get a 4 pole male to female jack audio cable? I never thought of this before and this will plug in directly to the XMC and extend to the Bose headset. I have never seen these cables at Fry’s or Best Buy luckily we can find just about anything in Amazon. Thanks.

Glad you mentioned this Elmex. I had the same problem with my Klipsch headphones and thought they were going out. I was ready to send them back for repairs. My Klipsch also has a 3 ring male jack. Let me know if your new purchase works.

The 3 ring cord extension from the XMC to the Bose fixed my issue. What a relief and a breath of fresh air. I just finished watch Star Trek XI UHD with no issues. Thanks again!!!
