I know Blue Note is known for their great vinyl recordings over the years.. One thing for certain is their stuff sounds fantastic on Tidal.
I've been been listening to quite a few of their famous recordings over Tidal and I'm floored by the sound.
Lee Morgan.. The Sidewinder & Search For the New Land
Cannonball Adderley .. Somethin Else
Eric Dolphy .. Out to Lunch
Kenny Burrel.. Midnight Blue
Horace Siver.. Song For My Father
These have sounded famtastic (whether it is Tidal HiFi or Masters).
Didn't realize they were all Blue Note recordings until today. Was just playing them and kept noticing distinctly better sound quality.
The music is fantastic as well. I feel like I've got so much to catch up on with Jazz.

Some fanatical collectors claim Blue Note was the more meticulous label in terms of production, compared to Riverside, Impulse, Columbia and many others. No idea if this belief has any merit but a lot of use sure do love the Blue Note sound.
I have a pal who has all the Music Matters Jazz 180 gram LP Blue Note reissues. Of course, he has a $10,000 turntable and a killer tube amp but I honestly cannot believe the sound; feels like I'm in the studio.
