I tried a search but couldn't crack the code for finding anything much about the App. Having used a Yamaha processor with their App a few times recently I was wondering how people had found the XMC-1 App? The Yamaha App on an iPad is actually pretty good, all the usual stuff, volume control, source, mode etc. Plus it has Apple Play via the built in wifi so I can play music in whatever of its 4 Zones I want, although my friend only has 2 Zones ("garage" and "pool") connected so far.
So what joy has anyone had with the XMC-1 App?
Cheers Gary

LOL ANYWAY, the app works well for both although I think the Yamaha app was much more intricate then the XMC-1 app. I think our beloved Chuck Elliot developed the app so very long ago. I may be wrong but I sure do miss him so very much! He was a great assets and Represenative of the human spirit. God bless you Chuck. ❤️ Happy Birthday 🎊

Did Chuck ever Open Source the code? Perhaps on GitHub?

Mark I've been using the Anthem app on my LG G6 all long weekend as the speakers outside have barely been off , basically running either Tidal or Radio Player Canada App through the Chromecast on zone 2 to the UOM speakers on the patio, was trying Tidal through an iphone via airplay to my ATV but it kept cutting out like crazy, forgot I had a brand new chromecast audio sitting in the box still haha, music bliss all weekend long What do you use to control all your outdoor speakers, do you run anything through your XMC ? Chad

I tend to use the XMC App for things that are awkward on my Harmony, mostly Trims. With the App it’s easy to bump the center, rears, or sub based on the content. I also use it to adjust Zone 2 volume if I’m listening outside, again easier than the Harmony. I like that it duplicates the XMC-1’s screen, I might check to see what audio format is being feed to the system (when you feel like being annoyed that Star Trek Discovery is only being broadcast in stereo ) I wish they’d put a little work into it, like adding tone controls. I’m wondering if they’ll just give us this when the RMC is released. In short it’s decent, but could be better.

Chad I use Sonos for all my speakers around the house. None of it goes through the XMC-1. We control it through our phones mainly but I also sometimes use my Surface Pro to control the zones. Mark
