Does anyone listen (stream) KEXP 90.3 (kexp.org)?
I find it to be an excellent college radio station.. Lots of varied music. I listen to it quite a bit.. Usually late at night at work (on the boat). Kinda as my music to listen to while drifting off to sleep

You have excellent taste in jazz music! I've been listening to them for many years. Not so much now that I'm out of range of their transmitter. They are/were an excellent jazz station, but have branched out into other music as well. Used to be 100% jazz.

I didn't know that.. Closest to Jazz on the station nowadays is World Music.. Some of it is Jazz Fusion I suppose. I started listening to them a while back.. Maybe 3 or 4 years agi I think. Thanks

Used to be that KEXP was almost all jazz. Well, nothing remains the same, eh?

I got something somewhere mixed up, I plead CRS! I have listened to KEXP but probably not in 20 years or more! I got some wires crossed somehow. The station I was thinking of that plays all jazz in the Puget Sound area is KPLU FM. And it's website is www.jazz24.org/ - an appropriate URL name considering their dedication to jazz. Give them a try if you like jazz, 24/7.
Now, I just need to remember where I put those memory improving vitamins...

When I retired I moved from western Washington State to the center of the state. I went from having a very crowded FM dial to mostly static. I discovered an FM station from about 90 miles sound of here that used a repeater station to pipe their music into the area. The signal and sound quality was excellent. They must have performed a survey to see if keeping that repeater station was worth the electricity it used to broadcast to a small area. It was one of those 100w repeaters that sounded good if you were within a few miles of the transmitter. Apparently it wasn't producing much in revenue. Too bad since they played jazz 24/7. Now all I have for local music on FM is a country western and public radio whenever they broadcast a concert. There is nothing on the AM side worth bothering with.
