Have a stealth dc1dac and a friend has a Bluesound Vault2 which supposedly can fully decode/unfold Tidal MQA MASTERS.
If we use the analog outputs from the vault to the analog inputs on the dc1 then the dac in the dc1 would not be used correct?
The dac would be used if toslink or coax inputs were used on the dc1?
Thanks for any clarity.

Thanks for any clarity. That's right. The analog signal path is separate from the DAC. No ADC. In fact you'll hear a relay click when you switch to digital to analog. FWIW the DC-1 is actually a very nice analog preamp. One of the best I've heard.
