Does anyone have insight into shipping a XPR-2 ...
Should it only be mailed via freight? Can it be shipped via Regular Fedex?
Where could I get a pallet, how do I strap it to a pallet?
What is the cost of freight, I have never done that. Thanks!

Look in your local area for pallets? Maybe the freight or postal company of your choice does offer them? Use different postal service websites for their freight calculation and info what can be shipped, what not? Use tape, chains, rope, whatever seems suitable to you?
Those are all questions where you can do the research yourself.
In general I would only ship a XPR-2 in a wooden box and / or on a palett, which means freight normally, at least here in Germany.

I’ve shipped several through FedEx ground and never has an issue. As long as you have it in its original packaging and you insure it fully.

I shipped my XPR-1s via UPS Ground. The buyer requested this, paid for full insurance and said he would pursue any damage claim. They were in original packaging and taped round and round every which way to stiffen up the boxes. He also changed the delivery once I had shipped them to have them left at a nearby facility for his pickup, rather than risk another transfer for home delivery. It was a “hold your breath” few days until he received them and unpacked to confirm all was well, but it turned out fine.
I suppose how badly you want to get rid of it plays into how much risk you are willing to take. I was highly motivated to move on, so decided to follow the above path. Good luck whatever you choose.

I would strongly recommend a pallet for this amplifier. Never trust the boxes as they have already made one long hard journey. Fedex and UPS will never be gentle. Take a chance sure, but freight and pallets for amps this big and heavy IS the only way to go. Other folks who have shipped big amps and the like to customers always use crate or pallets, or both for safe transit. Yeah it is expensive, but it will arrive safe and intact.

For fragile things where later insurance claims might be filed, a good idea is to use what was called 'Shockwatch'. These little stick-on devices will 'trigger' at a certain impact level and record the event. Just stick 'em on the outside of a box and you're set. www.spotsee.ioThe company I worked for used these on some delicate stuff we shipped regularly and they worked well. If triggered, we knew to begin looking for damage to our package internals. Will EMO ship out NEW BOXES? I see Vcautkid's point. And will EMO ship you a couple shock watch stickers?? They are fairly inexpensive but I don't know where, offhand to get ONE or TWO of 'em.
