I ALREADY had that covered, under item #1 - Unless you are single or fortunate enough to have your own "Private Idaho / Listening Room" - WAF is part of the "Listening Room". SWMBO is one of the / possibly the BIGGEST Room Limitation Hurdles to overcome... (Believe me - I KNOW this; I love her dearly, but I married the 2nd most stubborn woman on the planet - she got a promotion about 2 years ago, when her mother passed away.) That's why our NEXT home is going to have a "Ron Cave" - where, "if ya' don't like Ron's rules - - there's the door / you can just keep the heck out" THEN maybe I can get one of those tube amp setups and a set of Klipsch La Scala's and/or a set of Maggies that I've been lusting after I figure that ONE stinkin' room out of the whole danged house (other than the Garage or Basement) is not much to ask for... (but until then, I'll have to make-do with minor mods to what I have now) Totally understand, marriage requires compromises, I have the "one room is mine, the rest of the house is yours" agreement with my wife as well. For a long time, it was simply one of the small bedrooms, only big enough for my one chair and my equipment. Small near-field speakers it was! My comment was somewhat in jest I realize I don't have it too bad. My wife has put up with my stereo out in the living room for years. Now I'm in the small front bedroom and I love it. Near field or bust. My sub fills and shakes the room and my wife can be in the living room watching Days of Our Lives with no harm done! The occasional friend over for concert vids I just bring the kit out to the living room for the "session".

Revealed the magic behind the curtain! P.S. I have the same DAC and footstool! LOL. That footstool seemed to be just right. Us budget-philes make due! I love that Stealth DAC. I guess they quit making it? Shame. As far as the XPA-2 gen 1 I cant see how they made much money on that amp. Packed with components in a class A, A/B configuration. Huge power supply. I bought it on sale for $699.

some more observations as burn in continues....
These speakers RESOLVE. Doing near field listening. The seamless blending of drivers have made me firm believer in the 3-way design. They have yet to disappoint with playback of a wide variety of genres. This is a real accomplishment. Even Magnepan designs have been faulted for not achieving a seamless integration in their 3-ways. I remember hearing their 20's some moons ago, and I could hear the tweeter/super tweeter separate from the other drivers in a distracting way with instrumental music. I know that Magnepan has improved their crossovers in the past 10 years or so, so they may not suffer from the same issues. YMMV.

It's that seamlessness and its dissapearing act that is really impressive with the T2s. Its holographic imaging is really amazing. A serious bargain at the current price!

In my case, T2 replaced Magnepan MG 1.5 recently. I was fully intended to use T2 as an interim until I get my funds ready to purchase 20.7 model. My T2 got delivered last Friday and I have been listening to it all day today. This thing is lot better than what I expected and more I listen more I like the sound of T2. Wow, all I can say is that I am very impressed how Emotiva can produce such a quality speakers at such affordable price point. Who knows, if this thing sounds this good right out of box, I might not need or want to purchase my next Magnepan for a very long time.
One thing for sure, Magnepan requires very careful setup and has very narrow sweet spot. If I move my head just to little bit right or left, the soundstage seems to be collapsing and requires very good recording to sounds its best. Maybe I didn't setup the Maggie properly but when it is dialed in properly with a right recording, it simply sounds wonderful but not always. However, with T2 in place, I can enjoy just about anything that I can throw at it which include simple mp3 files to high resolution files, cds, and vinyl and all types of music. Now instead of constantly adjusting the speaker setups, I can just enjoy the music no matter what I throw at it. I am glad that I took a chance to purchase T2. What a great set of speakers
