Before going to bed, I turn off my HTPC, my Sony flat screen and the XMC-1. The XMC-1 controls everything else via triggers-out. I turn it off using the supplied Emotiva remote; it goes completely off, not pass-thru or fast/warm boot. Power switch at the back remains on.
About once a month, in the morning I discover the XMC-1 has turned itself on again, sometime in the night! (But never the TV or HTPC.)
Has anyone else experienced this? It happened again this morning, and I know I turned it off last night. I have it on an excellent UPS, so a power surge isn't triggering it. I live alone, so nobody else is doing it.
Sincerely /b

Any other computers on your network that could be sending a Wake on Lan signal .

Experience based testing, test #1 stick something in front of the IR received to block any signals. Test #2, unplug everything. Test #3 to #~ try plugging in the sources one by one until one of them wakes up the ghost.

No, but my house is not haunted. That's what they want you to believe.

Hello,
I had a similar problem. When I switch off my equipment, my XMC-1 went off and started immediately. Followed by a very, very loud "plopp boom" out off my loudspeakers. Also not every time, only a few times a month..... After a lot of thinking and searching, I found out, it happens only, if my VU+ solo2 records something. All HDMI-CEC were disabled, especially at my XMC-1 !!!! The solution was deinstalling the HDMI-CEC addon on the VU+ ! I reported this to emotiva !

Markus I think the solution lies here with CEC and trigger configuration for the OP. I use neither in my own, and my amplifier has its own sensor. Somehow, an input signal, even with XMC full off, is waking it up. Bill

I haven't experienced it but I do notice that sometimes when the XMC-1 is off (power switch on the back is on, but in cold boot up mode), other remotes will cause the background light on the main power button in the middle of the unit to change color. It has never turned on from this but still it shows that the XMC-1 is being affected from other signals so maybe there's something else in your house that is triggering it on. Like a monthly ghost.
