I've had some very minor issues with the pt-100 stopping/restarting while playing a song. It would be only a split-second and I figured it was an anomaly of the USB connection. But now, it's just freezing up every so often. I was restarting the PC because it was so frozen I couldn't shut anything else off, but I found that when I shut off the preamp, things went back to normal.
Not happy with this at all.

I've been using mt PT-100 with my computer for a few week now and never experience this. Running an old Dell rig with windows 10 pro.

Sounds like a usb issue on your PC.
Have you tried reinstalling any drivers, switching ports or even another PC?

I am sincerely sorry for both forgetting to update and resurrecting a semi-dead thread, but I did get things figured out. It was that my keyboard, the Corsair K-70 that has two input into the PC. I switched to a HyperX tenkeyless KB with only one input and I no longer have any freezes.

Congrats on your solution. Windows update on some systems has caused some issues. Being in I.T. I get a front row seat of some of the *bleep*ery here on video drivers and so on. My Primary computer video driver went unstable due to the windows update and my home computer had a USB driver issue too from a major patch a while back. So anytime an update happens, some *bleep*ery can too. Hey you Mac guys are far from safe from this too. I get my share of Macs losing their minds too. Call it, job security. It is how I stay number one as a tech, and customer service.
A bonus... Asus security vulnerability. And some HP printer app vulnerability hijinks too. Yeah it never ends the bad coding and so on. Makes me laugh at the so called superior intellect.
