Is this xlr splitter bidirectional? I mean can it combine two inputs into one output? Say the outputs of two DACs into one set of speakers with xlr inputs. Not using both DACs at the same time of course. Thanks!!!

Not using both DACs at the same time of course. Thanks!!! The electrons might get confused and not know which way to go. (Kidding) I don't see why it would not be. As you note, you would have to make sure you are indeed only using 1 at a time. I take if you are running balanced outs to active speakers like Stealth 8's or something? Mark

Thanks, Mark. Yes, want to be able to switch between a DC1 DAC and a PS Audio DirectStream DAC for driving a pair of Stealth 8s

I'm way late but using the X Balanced splitters in reverse is exactly how I've been using mine for the last 2 years at least ,its how I A/B test my digital sources on the fly and they work great .
