I am looking into the Amazon dot echo and searching for how I would interface that, if at all, with my XMC 1. The Dot does have a 3.5 mm output jack, but the XMC 1 does not have an input. The Dot is blue tooth enabled, but the Emotiva blue tooth dongle is not listed as being compatible with the XMC 1 and I hate taking up a USB port to use it. Any thoughts, experience to share?

The XMC-1 has RCA input jacks. You can use a 3.5mm to RCA cable and get audio that way. www.amazon.com/Rankie-Cable-Auxiliary-Stereo-Splitte/dp/B071R4R5B8/Also if you buy the Logitech Harmony Hub (+ companion remote) $90 www.amazon.com/Logitech-Companion-Entertainment-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B01JHQZSHWYou can use your echo dot and Harmony hub together to control input switching and volume control of your XMC-1 by voice. It also controls your tv with voice in the same way. That's what I use. You can learn more about how to use the echo dot to control your house and Emotiva gear here including turning your amps on and off. Part two is the setup. There is a 3.5mm input on the front panel of the XMC-1, it's to the right of the front panel USB port.

Okay, when I posted that I got the ProBoards Blue Bear. When I reloaded the page it must have re-posted the stupid post. I never got the site back this afternoon. All I have to say is: Sorry Sorry Sorry (only for the repeat posts, not the original one).
