Good Morning!
I'm currently researching new speakers and I was looking at many brands, (SVS,RBH, Aperion Audio,Ascend, Axiom. I think Emotiva Airmotiv is the way to go. I currently have an Onkyo 609 receiver. I plan to upgrade to better equipment next year. I was wondering if the Onkyo has enough power to drive these speakers?

Your amp specs out at 100W per channel with 2 channels driven. They will power the T2 fine, but any tower speaker will benefit from a separate amp IMO. Are you using these for 2 channel music, or as part of a surround sound system? For surround sound (HT) useing a larger amp won't really make much of a difference, but in a dedicated 2 channel use then a larger amp section will make a pretty good difference. This will hold true for the Emotiva towers or really any other brand of tower speakers you look at. I would recommend getting your speakers now and then look at upgrading your amps next year as you stated.
