I am running my PC (with a 1080ti Strix) into my XMC-1 (latest release) out to my Samsung UN65KS8500FXZA via the ARC output. The Nvidia Control Panel (NCP) on my PC will not allow me to choose 60 FPS/Hz @4k for XMC-1; the highest refresh rate I can get is 30Hz. I can get 60FPS @ 1080P but not 4K.
I can, however get 4K @ 60 FPS if I run from my PC straight into my TV (which means I need to run a separate output from my PC to the XMC-1 for sound (as my TV has limited audio passthrough). This would seem to eliminate the possibility of it being a cable issue.
To troubleshoot this I've: 1. Changed the output color format from RGB to YCbCr422 to YCbCr444 - none allow 60Hz 2. Used a "Customize" setting in the NCP, setting the refresh rate to 60 -- it won't put out any video (I've done this for all three formats listed in 1 above) 3. Changed HDMI UHD Color setting for the respective input channel in the Samsung TV menu
I appreciate any feedback as to how I can remedy this.
Thanks! Brock

Brock This should be posted in the Offical V3 thread, more eyes and more expertise, some HTPC issues have been discussed there too. emotivalounge.proboards.com/post/948592/thread
