I was also considering the XPA-DR3 to run my B&W speakers & center moving the e XPA-5 to cover rear channels or just switching between my Maggie's & B&W speakers on the XPA-DR2.
Feeling an upgrade itch for some reason...

B&W speakers especially the 800 series, are, or can be, a difficult load for an amp. Not only low minimum impedance in some cases, but wide swings in phase / reactance.
IF you do decide to 'upgrade', keep in mind that 'better' watts ARE better. And more capable of working into what might not be the most amp-friendly load.
Your Magnepan are MUCH easier speakers to drive even though they are quite a bit less sensitive.
Before doing anything else? Try plugging the amp directly into the wall. Its own circuit, if possible. Even what might be called a 'high current' power conditioner will suck the life out of most amps.
I actually found some measured data for the CM-1 (S2?) and they are not all that bad, from an electrical standpoint.

Feeling an upgrade itch for some reason... I know that feeling It will be best if you check and compare the amplifiers in your system and room - you can always return. On the forum you can get a lot of different answers (also from those who have not heard Xpa-Dr ). My answer is that Xpa-Dr are the best-sounding amplifiers of Emotiva (I had all three generations of Xpa and also Xpr1)

Keep in mind everyone's ears hear differently, and one amp may work exceptionally well for 1 set of speakers and just meh with others. There's no true way to know without trying them yourselves, so take advantage of the trial period and give the various amps a shot and return the ones that you think aren't worth the $$.
