Thinking of purchasing the T2. Perhaps it would be better to use the amp the designers used when voicing the T2 (or any speaker) rather than trial and error, in order to get the best combination of amp and speaker impedance, reactance, phase etc. Speaker cable?. Stealth 8 is optimum in this regard right?

Arjna, theory is often not real life. The T2 is very easy to match up with any solid state power amplifier that you can just about think about. Don't get too caught up in the specs. Emotiva of course uses the XPA family with them to great effect, but the T2 is very easy to drive and does not pose any challenges that any competent power amplifier may encounter. Meant for music and or theater, they do very nicely. Dedicated amolification will always be more satisfying than an AVR, but even a gutsy AVR can get it done, just a separate power amplifier gives more control and dynamic headroom, because it can swing more current and voltage than most AVRs.
I think the T2 is the speaker meant for everyone because it does not represent any real difficult to drive qualities. But if I were doing it, a high current high voltage swing power amplifier of your choice will do the T2s very nicely.

Your XPA-1 gen 2 works PERFECT for these. The T2's actually work quite well with a wide range of amps.

The set up at Emofest was (I believe) XPA-1 monoblocks and the XSP-1. It sounded fantastic.

XPA3 GENERATION 3 or BASSX A3 or XPA-DR3 For T2+ speakers and AIRMOTIV C2= My system will be only or maily a 2 channel music system. however ocassionally I will watch some movies tv shows or series with 3 channel mode.
Which amplifier would you select!! I would hate to spend the monie on the DR3 if a XPA3 is enough, ot maybe the BasX3 is more then enough!!!
