I purchased the subject unit from Amazon in early January for my son. It's seen very little use but suddenly stopped working. It does not respond to the remote and does not output an HDMI signal. The two panel buttons, on/off and eject both work but you can feel the disc mechanism spinning as long as it's plugged in whether the unit is on or off. Any thoughts? Still under warranty fortunately. Thanks.

I have an X800 and I don't believe that there are any owner serviceable parts, best to return it. With Sony products that usually means an on the spot replacement, but not always.

Thanks Gary. Sony is sending me a prepaid mailer for the unit not working. They will send me a new replacement unit once they receive the non working unit. Easy peasy. Russ
