Picked one up last week and finally got around to using it today. After about 30 minutes of use, I noticed the unit was a little warm to the touch. Is this normal? Just a little concerned because on two occasions, the unit stopped working and I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it operational. Also noticed the package was previously opened, so i’m a little paranoid about getting a faulty unit.
Thanks,
Mark

I believe Emotiva opened them up to fix their Made In The USA issue, then sealed them with the same sort of round clear sticker. Check out my recent thread about the differences between the Big and Little Egos.

I think the Little Ego I bought last week had not been opened.

I think the Little Ego I bought last week had not been opened. I didn't notice it until today under close inspection because I might sell one of mine. Only the top closure sticker has been "doubled up" to reseal the opening. The side and bottom are still only one sticker.

Bonzo - thanks for the clarification as to why the package was previously opened. On mine, the top and side stickers were doubled up, black marker used to cover up text on the covered portion of the box, and a sticker with a barcode to cover “Made in the USA” on the unit itself.
Does yours feel warm/hot when in use?

Does yours feel warm/hot when in use? I've had a Little EGO for 3 - 4 years now and not even slightly warm and it's plugged in 24/7 to my PC, it actually feels cool to the touch, is it maybe getting higher voltage from a certain USB port ??

Bonzo - the Little Ego I received does in fact have the dual closure stickers and the barcode. aznhorn - My Little Ego has been on for 36 hours and is still cool to the touch.

Mine is slightly warm to the touch. It is not blast furnace hot though. Some heat is normal. I have never had any issues with mine. Even on good ole janky Windows 10.
