I’d say if it’s under warranty you should get it fixed, if not then you have to decide if the repair cost is worth it.

Keep in mind also the "bathtub curve of reliability." The DAC is old enough now that it may be entering its "wear out phase" where failures increase almost exponentially. Even if you get the current problem repaired, other components may also be about to fail.

My XDA-2 stopped working correctly and had just crossed over into non-warranty. I think repair estimate was maybe $175 plus shipping to Franklin so I recycled it.
