I have some Airmotiv 6 Monitors (whatever happened to that line?) and I've pretty much left them ON 24/7 since I got them... about a year or two ago.
My question is, can I leave them ON all the time, or should I turn them off when I'm done for the night? Don't know if turning them ON and OFF all the time is good for the amp? Pretty sure that's how my last pair stopped working.

I had active Dynanco speakers and always shut them down at the end of my listening reportorial. What's the purpose of leaving them on? Just asking. It is similar to leaving a receiver on 24/7 or separates on 24/7. I don't see the need. It COULD border on the dangerous side for both your equipment and perhaps your house. Do you have surge protection? I would bet that endangering your house would be the least of worries but wear on your amplifiers is another questionable issue I would not equate leaving a computer on standby mode 24/7. Still I would turn them off. If you want a solid concrete answer I would call the manufacturer but I will guess they will tell you it's ok. Choices. Get a surge protector...some from HD would suffice.
Just my 2cents of information

I believe I remember Emotiva saying it was OK to leave them on. I have my DC-1 and Airmotive 5s on a switched outlet and turn them off at the end of the day (as I do with most other equipment). Besides the issues bluemeanies raises, the components that seem to be at risk are the capacitors, after 7 or 8 years mine are starting to go (I can hear a faint crackling in one when I first turn them on). I don’t know if the caps would last longer leaving them on 24/7 year after year, but I wouldn’t do it, they generate heat and it wastes power (and it’s not about cost). I turn mine off.

Pretty sure that's how my last pair stopped working. Pretty much even money with those...high quality amplifier. I would power them on and leave them if I knew I’d be using them again that day and just kill them at night. Really, it’s all about the amplifier design. Some, like my high power Sunfire, has the power supply running at “idle” when plugged in with the trigger off. This protects the boards and caps. from excessive fluctuations in current. Except for vacation time, the transformer has been running for nearly 18 years as of Jan. 2019. Bill
